Moraines
Moraines are probably the most prominent depositional feature resulting from glaciation. Glaciers, as they flow, grind, pick up, and push sediment, a ridge constructed out of this sediment is called a moraine. Moraines can be deposited both as processional and recessional features and come in three broad categories: Lateral, Terminal, and Ground.
Lateral moraines are deposited at the sides of the glacier, terminal moraines, at the front, and ground, underneath.
